About some of my Galleries...

Catholic Faith in Northern New Mexico depicts acts, rituals and traditions as manifestations of faith. This gallery attempts to document these outward demonstrations and preserve this part of culture in nothern New Mexico.

In 1625, a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary was brought to the parish church of the Assumption in Santa Fe. Today, we know that parish as the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and the statue as Nuestra Senora de la Paz, La Conquistadora. This gallery shows a small part of the extensive wardrobe and jewels belonging to La Conquistadora. These items have been donated by the devout. This group of photographs tells a story of an ancient statue. It shows the beauty of jewels and dresses. Most importantly, it tells a story of the history of faith and piety that the people of Santa Fe have held strong for 400 years.

The images in the Dia de los Muertos gallery were inspired by many of my artist friends whose work surrounds this theme. Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that celebrates and remembers the dearly departed with happiness and joy. A common symbol of the holiday is the skull or skeleton.

The Dramatic is a glance at my endeavors in the digital darkroom.

The Limited and Double Images are limited edition photographs. These images are only sold matted and framed. The sizes of these photos vary.

I hope you enjoy browsing through the Galleries as much as I enjoyed creating them!
